Some inspiration

I'd like to share you some simple google sheets templates.

A basic dynamic calendar and a dynamic home workout plan.

Dynamic points out the that you can with 2 clicks, update it to the current time and date.

Similar to an app, within a basic document.

For many people this may be not interesting, as they may be part of a sports team,

or visiting a sport gym studio regularly.

For anyone else interested in why it is important to keep track about your workout,

I will try to explain it with a few very impressive examples.

A while ago I came across a very inspiring video on youtube.

Admiral McRaven - University of Texas

The philosophy:

"If you make your bed every morning, you have accomplished the first task of the day,

it will give you a small sense of pride and it will encourage you to do another task and another,

and by the end of the day, that one task completed will turn into many tasks completed.

Making your bed will also reinforce the fact that the little things in life matter.

If you can't do the little things right, you'll never be able to do the big things right.

And if by chance you have a miserable day, you will come home to a bed that is made.

And a made bed gives you encouragement that tomorrow will be better.

So if you want to change the world, start of by making your bed."

- Navy Seal Admiral McRaven

Based on the inspiration and good will this man is sharing,

I come back to why I think it is important, to keep track of your basic workout.

It does not matter if you are an outgoing person who likes to work in the studio or,

for her or himself at home. The the thinking here is - if you do write it down,

and keep note of every time you do something for your own good, this will give you a different feeling

about the workout itself.

If you see what you have accomplished this month, and if you have it somewhere written down for yourself,

by chance, you do see the results of the hard work, then it will encourage you over time to keep working on it.

Why is it important to work on the physical?

Sometimes life brings up scenarios that are very hard to master without a preparation.

(About preparation: I must put this in brackets, so I do not stray to far away from my point.

One very wise man once told me, "If you work in the gastronomy, you need to know one thing.

Mise en place. This french for "everything in its place or putting in place" this is our golden rule,

if you expect 8 guests, be sure you have enough dishes for 12.

It may be that one person brings a friend, that one plate may break.

Or someone just does not enjoy the food.

So the silver lining is, preparation is the highest good.")

Based on this, and taking this as a metaphor not only for the gastronomy industry,

but as everyday inspiration, Then it is recommended to train yourself,

and try to be as healthy as possible so you can overcome obstacles that everyone has to deal with.

If you can manage these situations well, it may be a source of inspiration for other people too.

Many people give up easy when there is no result.

There is a very famous story about a woman named Florence Chadwick

She was the first woman to swim the English Channel in both directions, setting a time record each time.

She was also the first woman to swim the Catalina Channel, the Straits of Gibraltar, the Bosporus (one way), and the Dardanelles (round trip).

On an attempt to break a record, swimming towards the Catalina Island,

the circumstances were not in her favor, it was a very foggy day, the water was ice-cold.

Not very far from the shore, she had to stop the attempt, and she was pulled out of the water.

She was very surprised she was just 2 miles (3.22 km) from the shore and breaking the record.

In an later interview she was asked why she stopped.

Her answer became later on very famous and a good metaphor.

"I did not know how far more I have to swim, if I knew there were only two miles left. I would have not give up."

"I lost sight of my goal"

Later on she broke the record.

This is a good example, why working on yourself,

will give you opportunities that dont come along without the hard work.
